When in 1934 Argyris Doxakis was inspired by his hometown of Constantinople and decided to follow his passion for pastry and make sweets and ice creams, nothing could have predicted their future appeal.
He opened his first pastry and ice cream workshop based in Kavala. And the name of it was Eskimo. The first Eskimo shop in Athens was established in the West of the city in 1977, offering a wide range of traditional and original flavours of ice creams and sweets, with Eskimo quality becoming an instant favourite, while in 1997 the Doxakis family founded the model ice cream and confectionery workshop Eskimo in the Skaramagas area.
